If you can't save people,
at least don't hate them.

Let's get into the Sagittarius Season start it up menu?!
We will be delivering on Monday, December 3- please have orders in by Saturday night!
Broth:
- shiitakes and burdock broth (vegan)- our house-keeping 'immunity' broth for the Night Season good foot. Heaps of fried + fresh shiitakes + burdock root spend the afternoon hot tubbing with carrots, onions, garlic, fennel, ginger, kombu + parsley to deliver a healing, soothing elixir the color of manzanita tree bark in the midday sun, first sip is rife with deep, sweet earth and vibrant, valiant beautifully choreographed nutrients. It feels like stepping into a warm, quiet little cafe on a cold, loud and windy day, when you have your run of the place and get a table next to the windows all steamed up with the work of capuccinos. You have a good book, no phone reception and five hours until anything and even that is a movie w your best girl.
- pastured beef broth- almost two days in our kitchen with pastured marrow bones roasting and the entire garden simmering along with the beat. a big beautiful broth that can stand in for breakfast or cop the 'best supporting ingredient' in your next outing to French onion soup.... 'A weekend romance before another healthy week in your relationship with your GI.' Ayyyyyy.
Soup of the Week:
Caldo Verde the NorCal mixtape- our ode to the ubiquitous joy of Portugal's rhapsody in stew*. Papas, cebolla, chorizo and kale. Parsley to finish. This is a hearty, hardy and heavenly little meal - and doing it all with hella nutrients and fiber. Like a perfect day that smiles its way into ta perfect dinner and drinks with your best friend before they head off into a year of adventures. Comfort, fortitude and flavor made exactly for these longer nights and reflective days- it is cozy, verdant and so easy to love.
Thank you for being here and ordering these lil potions and telling your friends and taking good care of yourselves and your bodies. I love you. You are a miracle and each time you wake up to a new day, you make us all a bit more miraculous because we get to shine in each other's infinite luminosity. Ok?
Venceremos,
K
*I was to travel last week to care for a friend post-surgery and ended up very sick myself so I had to cancel at the last minute which would have killed my ticket-- with no refund. Like a month of soup orders!
Oye: in the middle of the night I spent 2.5 hours on hold with United, trying to change a ticket and BRUH. They play the same terrible interpretation of 'Rhapsody in Blue' over and over and over and over and over.... I hung up at 90 minutes and then realized that did me no good at all so I called back (this was like 4:40 in the morning by now) and anyway when I finally got through and that fucking song wasn't playing anymore, I was able to actually change my ticket to a voucher. My what a lucky and very very long night. A small hell in a lucky life. Rhapsosdy in Stew was born. Sorry but not all the way.
